Dr. O'Neil Blake credits OSHAcademy for laying the foundation of his successful career in safety, stating, “I wish to unequivocally state that OSHAcademy provided the building blocks and foundation for my successful professional career in safety.” In 2011, he enrolled in and completed the 132-Hour Occupational Safety and Health Professional program, which he notes was a pivotal step in his career. Since then, his expertise and accomplishments in the field of safety have grown significantly.
Dr. Blake found the course content and topics covered in the various modules to be comprehensive, clear, and easy to follow. He also emphasized that the courses were highly relevant, logical, and applicable to real-world situations and workplaces globally.
Inspired by the quality of the 132-Hour Occupational Safety and Health Professional Program, Dr. Blake went on to pursue and complete several advanced academic credentials: an MS degree in Occupational Safety and Health/Environmental Management from Columbia Southern University, an MS degree in Public Safety/Emergency Management from Capella University, and a Doctoral degree in Emergency Management from Capella University. In addition to his graduate degrees, he also earned the Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM) and Certified Safety Management Practitioner (CSMP) certifications from the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM), along with the Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
Today, Dr. Blake serves as the Safety and Training Manager for a large Florida county and the Safety Manager for a mid-size Florida waste collection company. He attributes his career success directly to the high-quality education and training he received through OSHAcademy.
