Glutaraldehyde is a colorless, oily liquid with a pungent odor. It is used as a cold sterilant in hospitals in a limited number of applications, rather than only as a general disinfectant.

This course describes how healthcare workers can be exposed to glutaraldehyde, as well as providing methods and work practices to prevent or reduce exposure to this chemical.
