713 Confined Space Program
Employees who work in confined spaces face increased risk of serious physical injury. Hazards involving a confined space include entrapment, engulfment, and dangerous atmospheric conditions. As a result, employees who conduct work within confined spaces must be properly trained.
This course presents information on the definition of a confined space, hazards of a permit-required confined space, and alternative procedures to control atmospheric hazards. The written program and entry permit system, rescue and emergency services, and importance of training are also discussed.
OSHA requires annual retraining for the topics in this course. After you complete a final exam and purchase a certificate, it will be valid for 365 days from the exam date. You will be able to retake this course and purchase an updated certificate starting 30 days before the expiration date.
As an OSHAcademy student, you have free access to 100% of our training materials, including module knowledge checks and course exams. We charge a small fee only if you decide to document your training through our official course certificates or transcripts.
