Introduction
At times, employees are forced to work in extreme temperatures. Working in extreme hot and cold temperatures for a long period of time can cause severe health damage, such as heat exhaustion and hypothermia.
This course offers information to employers and employees on measures they should take to prevent the illnesses and possible death caused by extreme temperatures.
Update: OSHA has initiated a National Emphasis Program (NEP) on heat stress which will remain in effect through April 2025. For more information download the pdf fact sheet.
