Employees at all sites must not perform any hazardous waste operations unless they have been trained to the level required by their job function and responsibility, and have been certified by a qualified trainer as having completed the necessary training.
Employees who receive the specified training must receive a written certificate upon successful completion of training. Training need not be repeated if the employee goes to work at a new site; however, the employee must receive the necessary additional site-specific training needed to work safely at the new site. All employees must receive 8 hours of annual refresher training as indicated in the table above.
