FPP - Which One Will Work for You?

If your policy is to require employees to immediately evacuate if a fire emergency occurs, follow the training program you have developed in your emergency action plan (EAP).

Determine if your FPP will comply with the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) or the Emergency Response Plan (ERP).

The EAP is a written document required by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.38(a), Exit Routes and Emergency Planning.

If you require employees to respond to workplace fires or uncontrollable releases of hazardous substances, you must train them in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120, Hazardous waste operations and emergency response. (HAZWOPER).
