907 Introduction to SEMS II

Introduction

The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) regulations in 30 CFR 250 require operators to implement a Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS) to identify, address, and manage safety, environmental hazards, and impacts during the design, construction, start-up, operation, inspection, and maintenance of all new and existing Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) facilities.

This introductory course is a good source of information and training for offshore rig operators, lessees, safety personnel, and workers to help develop and maintain an effective SEMS for off-shore facilities.
