There are a total of five (5) courses which make up the EM 385-1-1 program. You will need to complete all five courses in order to complete the 40-hour EM 385-1-1 Safety and Health program. Each course covers specific chapters of the EM 385-1-1 manual.
No. Individual course certificates are not available for EM 385-1-1 training. To receive certificates to document your training, you will need to purchase the EM 385-1-1 Safety and Health program, which does include both course and program certificates.
This training is based directly on the Army Corp of Engineers' Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM 385-1-1, 2014). Successful completion of this program meets the requirements established by OSHAcademy for EM 385-1-1 awareness-level training. The federal government, including NAVFAC, does not approve training programs. Government requirements mandate only that you must be educated in and comply with established safety standards. Upon successfully completing this program and paying the associated certificate fee, you will receive official OSHAcademy Safety and Health Training certificates, a transcript, and wallet card.
