24-5. Inspection Requirements.

Accessways

  • Daily inspect accessways to ensure they are safe, free of hazards and obstructions, and do not impede personnel travel.

Ladders

  • Inspect ladders following the manufacturer's instructions, checking for visible defects before use, each use, and after any incident that may affect safety.
  • Tag broken or damaged ladders as "DO NOT USE" and remove them from service until they are repaired to meet original design standards.

Personnel Hoists and Elevators
