Developing Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs)
- The responsible party must develop AHAs following the guidelines of paragraphs 1-6 or 2-6, as applicable.
- When construction vehicles or vehicles exceeding 1-1/2 tons (1.4 metric tons) need to back-up during operations, the AHA must identify all potential hazards and controls.
- The inclusion of a spotter as a control measure must be documented in the AHA for tasks involving vehicle back-up operations.
