The 7-Step OJT Process

Step 2: Trainer Show and Tell

In this step, the student becomes familiar with each work practice and why it is important.

In this step, the trainer performs each task and asks the learner questions.

The trainer reviews the initial conditions for the procedure. The trainer then carefully explains each task in the procedure. The trainer also answers questions and continues to demonstrate and explain each task until they are sure the student understands how to correctly perform each task.

The trainer explains each task in procedure and then performs each task while the student watches.

The student observes the trainer perform each task and questions the trainer.
