Level D Protection

This level of protection is adequate when no respiratory protection and minimal skin protection is required.

This level of protection is adequate when minimal skin protection is required.

When to Use

  • Work is conducted outside the Exclusion Zone.
  • The atmosphere contains at least 19.5 percent oxygen.

Equipment

The following constitute Level D equipment; it may be used as appropriate:

  1. coveralls1
  2. boots/shoes, chemical-resistant steel toe and shank
  3. boots, outer, chemical-resistant (disposable)1
  4. safety glasses or chemical splash goggles1
  5. hard hat1
  6. escape mask1
  7. face shield1
