Managing the Training Program

Training that is well-designed and integrated into a safety management system yields the best results. An evaluation of safety training should cover these elements:

  • Responsibility and Accountability: Who is responsible and accountable for the training?
  • Quality of Facilities and Equipment: Are the training facilities and equipment up to standard?
  • Adequacy of Program Development: Is the training program well-developed and suitable?
  • Quality of Delivery: How well is the training delivered?
  • Completeness of Documentation and Records: Are all necessary documents and records complete and well-maintained?
