From 2013 to 2017, 489 oil and gas extraction workers were killed on the job. Safety and health hazards and dangerous conditions that can result in fatalities for oil and gas workers include:
- Vehicle Accidents
- Struck-By/ Caught-In/ Caught-Between
- Explosions and Fires
- Falls
- Confined Spaces
- Chemical Exposures
This course continues discussing the hazards and safety precautions to take during the well site completion and servicing processes. The information, tools, and resources provided in this course are designed to help you, whether you are an employer or employee, to identify, reduce, and eliminate oil and gas-related hazards. You will also gain an understanding of the safety precautions to take while working on the drilling rig while performing these operations.
