Level Three - The Producer

Leadership arises from production:The level three producer "makes, builds, writes, develops, sells" something in a way that impresses others, leading them to follow.

The leader at this level is admired for what they have accomplished or what they bring to the organization. People admire this person's capability to produce. However, the Level three leader tends to be "self-centered."

Typical outcomes observed in the work culture fostered by level three leadership include:

  • People follow the leader because of their contributions to the organization.
  • This level resonates as successful to many workers.
  • People appreciate the leader for their active role.
  • Problems are addressed swiftly due to momentum.

Level Four - The Provider

Leadership through nurturing others: It's about developing others. Leaders at this level recognize that aiding others in realizing their full potential is the pathway to genuine success.

The Level Four provider "gives, helps, encourages, supports" others to ensure they thrive. While the level three producer may not necessarily assist others, the level four leader certainly does, being more "other-centered."

Typical outcomes observed in the work culture fostered by Level Four leadership include:

  • People are drawn to the leader because of their support and care.
  • The "Servant-Leader" model embodies this level.
  • The leader is devoted to molding followers into independent leaders.
  • This level showcases leadership that's both firm and compassionate.
  • The leader evolves from a place of self-interest to altruism.
  • Do whatever you can to achieve and stay on this level.
  • Strive to reach and maintain this level. We all have the potential to attain this leadership pinnacle.

Level Five - The Champion

Leadership recognized for past achievements: When this individual steps into a room, their presence is unmistakable. Consider the most renowned religious, political, social, sports, and business figures as examples. However, global fame isn't a prerequisite to be a champion. Countless teachers, coaches, youth leaders, and local figures have, in their own right, achieved the champion status.

Typical outcomes observed in the work culture fostered by level five leadership include:

  • Employees rally behind the leader because of their character and the ideals they embody.
  • This tier is dedicated to leaders who've dedicated years to nurturing individuals and growing organizations.
  • At this juncture, the shift from self-centered intentions to altruistic actions is complete.
  • Only a few ascend to this level.
