9-7. Minimum Plan Requirements.

Fire Prevention Plan

  • Develop detailed plans for USACE facilities and projects as per NFPA 241 or chapter 19 for marine operations, including a description of activities with fire hazards.
  • Include a list of major workplace fire hazards, potential ignition sources, and control measures like housekeeping procedures and appropriate fire suppression equipment.
  • Assign and detail personnel roles and responsibilities, including maintenance of fire suppression systems and controlling fuel source hazards, ensuring proper documentation of qualifications and training.

Wildland Fire Management Plan

  • Develop plans for USACE sites with wildland fire exposure, reviewing and updating them annually, detailing activities, and including individual prescribed fire burn plan procedures and AHA.
  • Describe anticipated hazards or concerns with control measures, including analysis of wildland fire causes, risk reduction measures, and procedures for public education and notification.
  • Assign personnel with specified roles and responsibilities, detailing the organization of in-house wildland fire management or control team, training, and equipment requirements.
