35-7. Minimum Plan Requirements.

Housekeeping Plan

  • Develop a written housekeeping plan for activities generating toxic dusts, fumes, or mists, detailing the specific activity and anticipated hazards, including control measures to mitigate these hazards to acceptable levels.
  • Designate personnel responsible for implementing the plan, ensuring they are properly trained and qualified for their roles. Documentation supporting their qualifications and training must be included.
  • Include routine maintenance, housekeeping schedules, and inspection procedures to ensure compliance with the plan.

Extermination Plan

  • Create a written Extermination Plan following EPA’s Integrated Pest Management Principles for work sites implementing vermin controls. The plan must outline the activity, anticipated hazards, and control measures.
  • Assign qualified and, if necessary, licensed personnel to roles within the extermination process, detailing the extermination activities, necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), equipment, disposal, and clean-up procedures.
  • Ensure the plan includes Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) for used products and methods for inspection and oversight to guarantee the plan's adherence.
