Feeding the Ejection Methods

Many feeding and ejection methods do not require the operator to place his or her hands in the danger area.

Automatic Feeding Systems

Automatic feeding systems use mechanisms that supply materials, components, or products to a machine or production line without requiring direct human intervention for each cycle. It involves a high degree of automation where materials are loaded, positioned, or conveyed to the machine using sensors, robotics, and conveyor systems.

These systems are programmed to feed materials consistently and at a predefined rate, enhancing efficiency and reducing the need for constant human monitoring. No operator involvement is necessary after the machine is set up.

Automatic Ejection Systems

Properly designed automatic ejection methods do not require any operator involvement after the machine starts to function.

Feeding and Ejection System Hazards

Automatic feeding and ejection methods may create hazards themselves. For instance, a robot may eliminate the need for an operator to be near the machine but may create a new hazard itself by the movement of its arm.

Using automatic feeding and ejection methods do not eliminate the need for guards and devices. Guards and devices must be used wherever they are necessary and possible in order to provide protection from exposure to hazards.
