Qualifications of a Qualified Rigger (QR)
- QR must possess a recognized degree, certificate, or professional standing, or show extensive knowledge, training, and experience in rigging loads.
- QR must have the ability to solve problems related to rigging loads and demonstrate knowledge in calculating loads, load weights, and safe capacities.
- QR must be at least 18 years of age.
Training Requirements for a Qualified Rigger (QR)
- QR must be trained and proficient in load calculations, rigging principles and procedures, and understanding the capabilities and limitations of rigging and hoisting equipment.
