27-7. Minimum Plan Requirements.

Erection and Removal Plan for Formwork and Shoring

  • A Qualified Person (QP) must develop, update, and submit the erection and removal plan for formwork and shoring to the USACE supervisor, KO, or COR for approval. This does not include slab on grade.
  • The plan should detail work activities, anticipate hazards with control measures, and outline procedures for material handling and concrete strength assessment.
  • The roles of QPs and Competent Persons (CPs) must be listed, alongside methods for inspection and oversight to ensure plan adherence.

Precast Concrete Plan

  • A QP is responsible for developing, updating, and submitting the precast concrete plan to the USACE supervisor, KO, or COR for approval before erection begins.
  • The plan must include detailed work descriptions, hazard anticipations with control measures, bracing and placement procedures, and material handling processes.
  • Coordination processes with other trades, roles of QPs and CPs, and inspection methods to adhere to the plan must be clearly defined.

Masonry Erection Plan

  • Prior to erection, a QP must develop, update, and submit the masonry erection plan to the USACE supervisor, KO, or COR for acceptance.
  • The plan should cover detailed work descriptions, hazard management, bracing selection, and material handling procedures.
  • It must also detail the coordination with other trades, define roles of QPs and CPs, and establish inspection methods to ensure adherence to the plan.
