Vision, Mission, and Values Statements

To help establish a sound foundation for the CSMS, it's important that we have the vision, a sense of mission, and the values necessary to achieve that mission.

Compass showing mission, vision, and values
Vision, mission, and values statements tell everyone who you are, what you do, and why you do it.

A very important principle that everyone should understand at all levels of the company is that...

"...we do what we do because of who we think we are."

Vision

The vision statement tells others what we see when we look at ourselves. If we see our company as the best, we will act like it is the best.

Example: ABC is a family of dedicated members that strives to be the best it can be in supporting and providing a wide variety of quality safety, health, and environmental services to organizations worldwide.

Mission

The mission statement tells others what we do. If we set our goals high with a strong vision and ethics, the company will strive to achieve those goals.

Example: It is the mission of XYZ Construction to safely manufacture and deliver the highest quality products to our valued customers throughout the world.

Values

The values statement tells others about our ethics. If we value safety as something that cannot be compromised, we will act in ways that reflect that belief.

Example: Safety is a value ingrained in how we conduct business and live our lives. This philosophy places the safety and health of our employees, subcontractors and the public before anything else.
