Audit Service Provider (ASP) Audits

If BSEE identifies safety or non-compliance concerns as a result of their inspections, evaluations, or events, they may direct you to conduct an Audit Service Provider (ASP) audit of the SEMS program.

After BSEE conducts the audit, they will provide you with a report of their audit findings, observations, deficiencies, and conclusions.

  • Audit Findings are all of the information recorded by the auditor including nonconformities, concerns, and opportunities for improvement and good practices.
  • Observations are the factual support underlying each finding. Observations include a description of documents reviewed, activities observed, and personnel interviews.
  • Deficiencies are shortcomings or points of weakness or vulnerability that threaten the success of the management system.
  • Conclusions are assessments by the auditors of the state of the design and implementation of the SMS and its individual elements.
