2-8. General Requirements

Accident Investigation and Reporting

  • Contractors must report and investigate all accidents and near misses using ENG Form 3394.
  • Notify OSHA and the USCG for specific work-related injuries or marine casualties.
  • Keep records of first aid treatments and provide them upon request.

Physical Qualifications of Employees

  • Employees must be physically and medically qualified to perform their specific duties.
  • Medical documentation must be recorded and maintained as per regulations.
  • While on duty, employees must not use or be under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, intoxicants, or similar performance or mind-altering substances.

SOH Communications

  • Communicate SOH information in languages the employees understand.
  • Within seven calendar days after commencement of contract work, set up a SOH Bulletin Board or an alternative method with essential information and documents.
  • Establish a SOH deficiency tracking system and conduct regular safety meetings.
