23-5. Inspection Requirements.

Equipment Inspection and Maintenance

  • Inspect all equipment before each use, following the manufacturer's guidelines strictly.
  • A Rope Access Supervisor/Rope Qualified Person (QP) or a Rope Access Lead Technician/Competent Person (CP) must perform an annual inspection of the equipment, adhering to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Document all inspections diligently.

Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) Development

  • Develop AHAs based on the guidelines in paragraphs 1-6 or 2-6, as relevant.
